DenverDupdate

The final NFL Monday Night Football game of the season will involve division leaders when the Denver Broncos will be hosting the Cincinnati Bengals. Let’s isolate the top fantasy football picks from both rosters for your one day real money leagues at FanPicks.com

Both Denver and Cincinnati are strong defensive clubs Denver leads the league in pass and rush defense as they allow 200 passing yards and just 80 yards on the ground. Looking at the Las Vegas line it indicates that a low scoring game is on tap as the  over under line in the game is set at 39 ½ points. There is much on the line for both teams entering Monday Night Football. With a victory the Bengals will clinch a bye in the first round and will sit in a tie with the New England Patriots for home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

The Bengals past five games have shown patterns. They faced three bad defensive teams in the 49ers, Browns and Rams where they allowed a total of 24 points in those three games. When the Bengals faced the Steelers they allowed 33 points and against the Arizona Cardinals the team gave up 34 points all resulting in losses.

It is very difficult to make a recommendation on their duo of running backs. Their leading carrier is veteran Giovanni Bernard. He has 140 carries on the season for 1117 yards with two touchdowns. Bernard rushes for 4.9 yards per carry but he is sharing carries with Jeremy Hill taking away fantasy value. It has not been a good year for Jeremy Hill. The Bengals running back is unable to match the success of his rookie campaign. He rushes for 635 yards on 188 carries and ten touchdowns.

Hill rushes for just 3.4 yards per carry. You almost have to hope the Bengals are lined up for a goal to goal situation on the opponents three, two or one yard line if Jeremy Hill is on your roster. But punching in a short touchdown against the Broncos is no easy feat. T

here is a major injury for Cincinnati as their tight end Tyler Eifert will miss the game due to injury. Eifert missed the 49ers game with a concussion that kept him out of the game against the Broncos. Eifert had a breakout season in 2015 with 48 catches for 564 yards and 12 touchdowns. His replacement in this game will be Tyler Kroft who had a touchdown reception last week in the win at San Francisco.

Brock Osweiler is the option for the Denver Broncos with Peyton Manning sidelined with an injury. Osweiler has the arm strength to throw downfield and that was a skill that was eroding for Manning. Osweiler has thrown for 270 yards or greater in three of this past four games. Last week at Pittsburgh Osweiler had three touchdown throws on his 296 yards passing. He has a touchdown pass in five of his six games on the year. We have seen Cincinnati in recent games having trouble stepping up their defense.

The running back situation for Denver is much like that of the Bengals. The Broncos utilize C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman in the backfield. Hillman has 183 carries and Anderson 128. It is a two man running game for Denver so a running back cannot be recommended.

Play Brock Osweiler, Denver Broncos QB

Demaryius Thomas is getting targeted by Osweiler. Thomas leads the Broncos with 93 catches for 1128 yards and five touchdowns. In Week 14 at home to Oakland he caught ten balls for 95 yards.
