NFL Week 9 Fantasy Football Picks Powered by FanPicks

We move into Week 9 of the NFL regular season and it’s time to deliver the one week fantasy football at FanPicks.com

The Chicago Bears are off to the road to battle the San Diego Chargers. San Diego is not serious about establishing a running game. Their whole offense is the right arm of Phillip Rivers. They are the top passing team in the NFL as they throw for 336 yards per game. Those who tuned into the Bears and Vikings game last week saw a weak Chicago secondary giving up big plays at the most critical point of their game last week.

Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings & More Week 3 Fantasy Links

Just two weeks have past, and oh my, how much has changed! The scary part isn’t as much dealing with your lineups after all of these changes, but more, hoping to outsmart any changes that might happen in the coming weeks. My Week 3 Fantasy Football rankings are posted below, which will hopefully help you offset any issues from the past couple weeks. One thing I’m trying to do this season is to post links to all of the articles I’m posting around the web. While I have a couple main writing gigs, including my columns at FanDuel and About.com, I also have plenty of articles getting posted elsewhere. I happen to run SoCalledFantasyExperts.com, and that site is growing by leaps and bounds, blowing past the site you’re currently reading! Check it out when you get a chance. Here are my articles over there this week: After posting our staff rankings, I wrote an article with reactions toward the Week 3 quarterback rankings. Others on the staff wrote reactions to other positions, too, and these are just great reads. 3 Value Plays at QB, 3 to Avoid: I pick a trio of good and bad values according to FanDuel...

Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings: Let’s Get It On!

You’ve been waiting more than half of a year to fill out a lineup for your Fantasy Football team! Our Week 1 Fantasy Football rankings are here to help you get started off on the right foot. Whether you were a part of the 10 percent (or lower) that brought home a Fantasy Football championship title last year or not, we’re here to help you into the promised land in 2015. This first week of the NFL season brings a ton of what Las Vegas expects to be some high-scoring games, with powerful offenses like the Eagles and Falcons doing battle in Atlanta. Don’t forget the Cowboys and Giants, since they always seem to have big weekends offensively when they face off against each other. While there will be a few healthy players that will join us, watching these games from their couches, Tom Brady will in fact be out there after his four-game suspension was overturned. That’s great news for TE Rob Gronkowski and WRs Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Brandon Lafell. However, guys like LeGarrette Blount, Martavis Bryant and Le’Veon Bell will be missing Thursday night’s NFL Kickoff game between the Steelers and Patriots. Also, don’t forget to try out “My Playbook” from FantasyPros. This is easily the greatest in-season Fantasy Football tool around, and you can use it for multiple leagues, easily. Figure out within a couple clicks which free agents in your league you should pick up, and which players you should drop, or who to start or sit. It’s simply the best. Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings Fantasy Football Rankings powered by FantasyPros We’ll try to update these Week 1 Fantasy Football rankings throughout the week as news happens. Good luck in Week 1 — and let’s start Week 2 with a 1-0...

2015 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings

2015 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings

The beauty about Fantasy Football defenses is that different scoring systems can make a case for about two-thirds of the NFL teams to be viewed as possible starting defenses in Fantasy play. A prospective owner could be in a league that greatly rewards Fantasy points for sacks, but downplays turnovers or special teams play. Make sure you do the appropriate amount of research surrounding your league’s Fantasy scoring, in order to understand which defense/special teams are more valuable in your league, compared to others. Does your league give a ton of points for defenses that don’t allow a lot of points scored each game, or yardage gained? If so, then last year’s Lions defense would be much more valuable to your league than in most other leagues. That Lions defensive unit gave up the second-fewest total yards, and the third-fewest points, but they were just above-average in sacks and forced turnovers, with just two defensive touchdowns. One should target defenses with strong pass rushers and ball-hawking cornerbacks that turn soft passes into turnovers. Some defensive players on the move that you should be aware of include LB Akeem Ayers (St. Louis), CB Antonio Cromartie (N.Y. Jets), DE Darnell Dockett (San Francisco), DT Nick Fairley (St. Louis), DE Greg Hardy (Dallas), LB A.J. Hawk (Cincinnati), DE George Johnson (Tampa Bay), CB Byron Maxwell (Philadelphia), DE Pernell McPhee (Chicago), LB Brian Orakpo (Tennessee), CB Darrelle Revis (N.Y. Jets), DT Ndamukong Suh (Miami) and CB Tramon Williams (Cleveland). 2015 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings These DSTs are ranked for standard Fantasy scoring setups, with points for sacks, turnovers, yards allowed and points allowed. Defensive touchdowns and special teams touchdowns are also included.
