And on the seventh day, God rested … so he could read up before his Fantasy Football draft. Big Saints fan.

2016 Fantasy Kicker Rankings: Better Veterans

2016-08-04T13:38:32+00:00

When you start looking deeper into the 2016 Fantasy Kicker Rankings, you realize the usual suspects over the past few years are still making appearances. And really, as the last round in your draft comes closer and closer, you should really try to think about drafting a “usual suspect,” like Justin Tucker, over some possibly rising kickers, like Brandon McManus, Cairo Santos or even the legendary Roberto Aguayo! (OK, so that last one wasn’t a tough one.)

2016 Fantasy Defense Rankings: Hello, Highs and Lows!

2016-08-04T13:37:49+00:00

Compared to other Fantasy Football positions, the 2016 Fantasy Defense Rankings have much less continuity than the other Fantasy positions. Looking at the Fantasy quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends, you might spot a sleeper that creeped up 20 spots from last year’s rankings, like Blake Bortles or Gary Barnidge.

Fantasy Fatcast: Return of the Fat Jedis

2016-07-03T11:05:11+00:00

My former co-worker, Eric Mack, and I are back at it again, with our “Fantasy Fatcast” podcast! We plan to do two podcasts a week going forward, and we kicked things off this week reviewing the rookies, breakouts and busts from the 2015 Fantasy Football season.

Breaking Down the Class of 2016 Rookie Running Backs

2016-07-02T17:11:54+00:00

Every season a number of rookie running backs make a significant impact on their respective teams and fantasy teams alike. Last season featured the emergence of Todd Gurley and David Johnson as superstars. Others such as Thomas Rawls, Jeremy Langford, Matt Jones, and Jay Ajayi all showed cased their abilities, and all will enter this season as presumptive featured backs.

Best Fantasy Football Rookie Wide Receivers Ever (… Since 1990!)

2016-06-19T16:03:01+00:00

Over the past few years, we’ve all come to realize that rookie wideouts can certainly add some Fantasy value to your team, but that you can also do some damage by spending a pick too early on one. We’re going to go over the best Fantasy Football rookie wide receivers ever in this piece, but it’s important to note that I lie – it’s only the best first-year WRs since 1990, which is right around when Fantasy Football began to become popular.

Looking Back at the History of Rookie Wide Receivers — (2016 Update!)

2016-06-19T15:30:08+00:00

Well, we officially now know that the rookie class of 2015 wide receivers was just a mere shadow of what its predecessor was, but we knew that all along, didn't we? I always like to take a look back – not just at last year’s rookie wide receivers group or the amazing 2014 class – but at the history of rookie wide receivers in Fantasy Football altogether.

Big Fantasy Breakout Series: Third-Year Quarterbacks in 2016

2016-05-31T16:54:42+00:00

This week, we start our big Fantasy breakout series, looking at the players we expect to post better Fantasy production than their current ADP might indicate. I recently wrote an article over at SoCalledFantasyExperts.com, pointing out when you should look for breakout Fantasy Football players from which positions.

Best Fantasy Football Rookie Quarterbacks Ever – 2016 Update

2016-05-17T11:08:43+00:00

Each season, I’m always fascinated by the Fantasy points put up by first-year players at different positions. So I like to track them from year to year, and measure them against each other. That’s where this article comes in! I looked at the best Fantasy Football rookie quarterbacks ever (or really, just dating back a few decades), and I see if this past season’s rookie QBs make the leaders list!
