Week 1 RB Rankings — Sponsored by SKYLLZONE

Eddie Lacy, Week 1 RB Rankings

Filling out your lineups for Week 1 can be a little tricky – especially at running back. Our Week 1 RB Rankings should help you lock the position down for the NFL Kickoff weekend.

One of the tricky parts about the first week is that some of your RB1s and RB2s didn’t get a lot of action in the preseason and you’re wondering what to expect of them in the first game of the year.

Do you go chalk – starting all of your top picks no matter what in Week 1, not considering previous playing time or injuries? Or do you look deeper at the matchups and go with a player you think has a better chance to shine over a veteran you have questions about?

Don’t Rock the RB Boat

Sure, there are a few tough matchups this week, but there’s no way you can hamstring yourself by NOT starting a healthy player you picked in the first couple rounds.

For instance, you’ll notice in a lot of Daily Fantasy Football sites, like SKYLLZONE.com, that Eddie Lacy is widely avoided because he goes up against the buzzsaw rush defense of the Seattle Seahawks – in Seattle.

Since SKYLLZONE runs instant snake drafts each week – for each week’s matchups – they also have an ADP you can trust because thousands of humans are drafting each week there.

The SKYLLZONE Week 1 ADP shows Eddie Lacy going with the 19th overall draft pick, which makes him the 10th running back drafted, and a definite Week 1 starter in the eyes of SKYLLZONE fans.

Montee Ball didn’t see much time in the preseason due to his emergency appendectomy, but he played in the final game and he’s a go this week.

Be cautious of Le’Veon Bell this week, since the Steelers could deactivate him just before game time as a punishment for his off-the-field issues. It’s unlikely, but you should have a last-second backup plan. Mike Tomlin said both Bell and LeGarrette Blount will play in Week 1.

Steven Jackson (hamstring) is reportedly healthy and he’s expected to start, but Devonta Freeman was exciting this preseason, so we should expect him to steal a few touches in Week 1. Consider SJ39 a better flex option than RB2.

Ray Rice’s two-game suspension makes Bernard Pierce a quality flex option also, at home against the Bengals.

Lamar Miller will start for Miami, but Knowshon Moreno will likely get third-down touches and work more in the passing game against New England.

These Week 1 RB rankings are also very helpful for the Fan vs. Machine instant snake drafts on SKYLLZONE.com. I write for these guys now, over at blog.SKYLLZONE.com, and I think you’ll love this game like I do.

Download the free draft app on iTunes, or just draft off your computer. You draft against nine computers – you don’t go up against the sharks in salary cap games like on other sites.

Everyone gets one free draft per day, and you can win SKYLL Points that you can use for entry into the Cash games – where you can win $15 for first place, and $5 for second place. These rankings will help you do just that!
