Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds

DSCN6609

The injuries keep piling on, Julio Jones, Randall Cobb and DeMarco Murray will all miss time, to name a few and a number of players are emerging Fantasy Options. Personally, Andre Ellington could emerge a true Fantasy force come Playoff time and is someone to target in all formats.

Additionally, if Nick Foles continues to start and Brandon Jacobs builds on his huge Week 6 performance there are a number of potentially strong Fantasy options kicking on a lot of Waiver Wires.

The Saints and Raiders are both on their Bye Week, so adjust your rosters accordingly, but also, make sure to check and see if anyone dropped any Falcons or Dolphins who can help your club.

Time to get to the top Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds.

Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds

QB Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles

Nick Foles proved last season he can be a respectable Fantasy player and Michael Vick isn’t capable of staying healthy. Foles could easily be a top 10 Fantasy Quarterback in Chip Kelly’s offense if given the opportunity.

Vick might return though, so use fake footballers are going to have to monitor the situation this week and potentially longer. It is a sticky situation, but whoever starts behind center for the Eagles will stick around starter territory in Fantasy rankings.

QB Mike Glennon, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Unlike Mr. Foles, Mike Glennon will be starting from here out and could flirt with Fantasy starter territory himself. Assuming Mike Williams can get healthy, Glennon will have two capable Wide Receivers to toss to.

Glennon has a big, accurate arm and if Tampa can ever get Doug Martin going, we might see some production from Glennon like we did in the middle of last season from Josh Freeman. Keep this kid on your radar, although, there are some tough matchups upcoming.

RB Brandon Jacobs, New York Giants

Unlike the last time Brandon Jacobs was with the Giants, there is no timeshare here as the Giants’ backfield has been plagued with injuries. Furthermore, Jacobs looked excellent Thursday night, consistently getting to the Bears’ 2nd level of tacklers.

With so many injuries at the RB position, Jacobs will be a hot commodity this week. The Giants should continue to play weekly shootouts, so Jacobs will have a lot of opportunities to score, which is what he once did best.

RB Joseph Randle, Dallas Cowboys

The schedule gets extremely friendly just in time for Joseph Randle to take the lead in the Cowboys backfield. He scored against Washington and joins a high-powered offense, which also gets their backs involved in the passing game.

It might only be a short stretch before Murray returns, but setbacks happen and Randle might also carve out a role for himself even when Murray returns. Randle isn’t that much of a downgrade from Murray and is firmly in Fantasy starter range.

RB Andre Ellington, Arizona Cardinals

Rashard Mendenhall is getting half the touches, but it is Andre Ellington who is getting the job done. He has been active in the passing game for a few weeks, but went good for 8 yards per carry this week, en route to 56 yards.

Ellington is the superior back and if he can slowly tilt the carries into his favor he’ll become a weekly Fantasy option. He is undersized, but explosive and capable of breaking off big runs and scampering after the catch.

WR Kris Durham, Detroit Lions

The Lions’ Wide Receiver is taking the lead in replacing Nate Burleson’s production. Last week he was targeted 8 times and scored. This week, Durham grabbed 8 balls and went good for 83 yards. Opposite Calvin Johnson is a juicy Fantasy opportunity.

Durham’s chemistry with Quarterback Matthew Stafford goes back to their college days at Georgia and there is clearly trust there. The Lions go vertical a lot and with 21 targets in the past 2 weeks, there is a lot to like about Kris Durham going forward.

TE Tim Wright, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tim Wright is also WR eligible and lines up all over the field. In the last two games, the undrafted rookie has 12 receptions for 132 yards on 15 targets. It isn’t incredible production, but he is clearly involved in the offense.

Mike Glennon, like most young Quarterback is leaning on his Tight End and Coach Greg Schiano is familiar with Wright from Rutgers, which also bodes well for the rookie. I wouldn’t rush to add him, but we could have an under -the-radar option here.

Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds – Bye Week Quarterback Replacements

Josh Freeman, Minnesota Vikings: The Giants are getting shred through the air and Freeman has a lot to prove. It’d be nice if he had a few better options in the passing game, but expect him to have a respectable game.

Brandon Weeden, Cleveland Browns: It has been an interesting season for Weeden, but Cleveland is scoring through the air and Green Bay is giving it up Fantasy points to signal callers. He could land near Fantasy starter territory this week.

Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds – Bye Week Tight End Replacements

Jordan Reed, Washington Redskins: The Gator alum has been active in the pass game all season when healthy and has clearly leapfrogged Fred Davis. Reed even saw time in the slot this week against the Cowboys.

Are there players that were left off of the Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds list? Who are you targeting?
