The Monday Night Football game from Week 13 will feature two teams surprisingly still in the hunt for the NFC East title as the Washington Redskins will host the Dallas Cowboys. Fanpicks.com is proud to sponsor tonight’s daily fantasy football picks.
Dallas has been hit hard with injuries as they enter Monday Night Football with a 3-8 record. A win will move them one game back of the division lead. They have lost Tony Romo for the rest of the year after suffering a broken collar bone in their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Carolina Panthers. It will be Matt Cassel getting the start at quarterback. The Cowboys in their 33-14 defeat to Carolina struggled offensively with three Tony Romo picks with two going for Panthers touchdowns. The run game did nothing as the team ran for 31 yards on 14 carries. Dallas has not been able to function on the ground since losing DeMarco Murray to free agency as the team rushes for just 4.2 yards a carry which is considerably less than the 2014 campaign.
The Washington Redskins enter Monday Night Football with a record of 5-6 and sits atop the NFC East after the Giants lost on Sunday. The Redskins have won five straight games at home with the defense playing very well in five of their six home games this year. The crowd will be fired up in this spot as the team can increase their lead in the division to one full game with a win. The Redskins have played well at home with a record of 5-1 with the only loss coming in week one to Miami. Washington has a profile of showing up at home and playing well below average on the road.
The Washington Redskins have allowed 14 points in their past two home games against the Giants and Saints. In their other home games they have allowed 17 points to the Dolphins, 10 points to the Rams and 20 points to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys offense has played poorly. The team has not won without Tony Romo in the lineup for Dallas. In the Redskins victory against the Giants last week they held the Giants scoreless for the first 49 minutes of the game. Dallas has the 28th ranked passing attack and is 29th in scoring offense by averaging 18.5 points per game.

The Dallas Cowboys leading receiver has been a tight end as Jason Witten has caught 55 passes for 508 yards and two touchdowns. With Matt Cassel under center it is unlikely that this backup journeyman will have success throwing the football downfield. He will look to keep his passes short and intermediate and Witten will likely be the most targeted player in the Dallas passing attack.
Play on Jason Witten (Cowboys TE)
Kirk Cousins has put up some nice numbers against losing teams this season. On the year he is completing 68% of his passes for 2787 yards with 16 touchdowns and 10 picks. His 16 touchdowns are a career high. He has thrown for over 300 yards in three of his past five games and has at least one touchdown pass in every game he has played under center in 2015. Last week against the Giants, Cousins completed 69% of his throws for 302 yards and a touchdown. The Redskins quarterback is completing well over 70% of his passes combined over his past three games.
Play on Kirk Cousins (Redskins QB)
Veteran wide receiver Pierre Garcon leads the wide receiving corps for Washington with 49 catches for 508 yards with three touchdowns. He can scrap and pick up some fantasy points with intermediate routes as Garcon will find openings to exploit against the Cowboys defense.
