I write Daily Fantasy Football strategy columns for DFSEdge.com each week, and that means I usually play on several different Daily Fantasy sites each week.
And in my FanDuel column on Saturday, I thought it interesting how many crazy running back situations there are this week, due to injuries and the Trent Richardson trade.
So I thought I’d share some of my Daily Fantasy picks on different sites that I like this morning! (I got up a little earlier than I expected, which helps also.)
This is not my team, mind you, since if you played this team, you’d end up with $6,400 of surplus of money. These Daily Fantasy picks are just some good bargains to consider.
Matt Stafford, QB, DET at WAS, $8,500
He’s on pace for over 630 pass attempts again this season.
Joique Bell, RB, DET at WAS, $6,500
Even with Reggie Bush as a game-time decision, Bell is a great price against a bad Redskins defense. He should punch at least one in for a score – but I’m guessing two touchdowns. Ding, Ding!
Jason Snelling, RB, ATL at MIA, $4,500
The Dolphins are still an underrated defense, but with Steven Jackson (thigh) injured, Snelling will work on non-passing downs – and likely the goal line.
Eddie Royal, WR, SD at TEN, $4,500
Five touchdowns in two weeks, with the cheapest price tag in the game? I’m in!
Aaron Dobson, WR, NE vs. TB, $5,000
The rookie has skills, but he just needs to cut down on the drops (co-leader in the NFL with four drops).
Steven Hauschka, K, SEA vs. JAC, $5,000
Cheapest kicker today going for a team that’s almost a 20-point favorite. If ‘Hawks go up early, they’ll run it a lot, and kick a lot when inside the 35.
Vikings Defense, $5,200 vs. MIN $5,200
Facing a Browns team with a new quarterback, a just-signed-off-the-street running back and a just-off-of-suspension wide receiver.
Bernard Pierce, $9,200, DEN vs. OAK
With Ray Rice (hip) likely out for a couple weeks, the sophomore should get a full load against the tough Texans run defense. Not a great price, but this could be a good bargain in tournament play.
Chris Johnson, $10,800, TEN vs. SD
The Titans should use CJ2K a little more in the passing game against a Chargers team that has trouble with pass-catching backs. He has just one catch so far this year, though.
Robert Turbin, $5,250, SEA vs. JAC
I expect the Seahawks to ground and pound, and Turbin should get the second-half carries in a blowout.
Austin Pettis, $5,850, STL at DAL
The third-year receiver had a breakout game against the Falcons, and should do well against a Cowboys team that has given up 451 yards to receivers this year (sixth-most in the NFL).
Brandon Pettigrew, $5,300, DET at WAS
While Pettigrew has just 10 targets in two games, the Redskins defense is one of the bottom-echelon defenses against tight ends (139 receiving yards and two touchdowns to tight ends allowed).
Owen Daniels, $8,500, HOU at BAL
The Ravens have trouble with tight ends, and Daniels is just the 14th-most expensive tight end on Draft Day.
I’m actually taking part in an experts tournament (which non-writers are more than welcome to join) on Draft Street. “FANTASY FOOTBALL 2013 PUBLIC LEAGUE 1861827”
Russell Wilson, QB, SEA vs. JAC, $12,845
While I’m not in the camp that thinks Wilson makes a good traditional Fantasy starter this week because I don’t think he plays the entire game in a blowout. I do love his chances at home against Jacksonville at this price.
Giovani Bernard, RB, CIN vs. GB, $7,429
Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, CLE at MIN, $2,537
While Willis McGahee is expected to see most of the action, it’s not unreasonable to think Ogbonnaya gets more than a handful of chances. At this price, he’s a great flex roll of the dice.
Robert Turbin, RB, SEA vs. JAC, $4,299
A.J. Green, WR, CIN vs. GB, $15,738
Kenny Britt, WR, TEN vs. SD, $5,168
He’s proving to be a headcase again, but to get a guy with his talent at this price – that’s a great thing for tournament play.
Austin Pettis, WR, STL at DAL, $5,757
Aaron Dobson, WR, NE vs. TB, $7,494
Chris Givens, WR, STL at DAL, $8,022
Miles Austin, WR, DAL vs. STL, $7,937
Brandon Pettigrew, TE, DET at WAS, $4,340
