Baltimore is a great place for sports fans, for example, there is easy access to beginner tennis lessons baltimore. The Monday Night Football game from Week 7 features the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens. Let’s examine the best fantasy roster picks from this game for your one day league.
We have Fanpicks.com powering Daily Fantasy Sports that will cover the Baltimore Ravens who are a 1-5 football team. They are lucky they are not 0-6 because poor strategy by the Pittsburgh Steelers resulted in a Ravens win in overtime in Week 4. Their defense has struggled giving up 37 points at Oakland, 28 points at home to Cincinnati and 33 points in an overtime loss at home to Cleveland.
Last week, an anemic San Francisco offensive attack which is the worst scoring offense in the NFL even was able to generate 25 points on the Baltimore defense. Colin Kaepernick is a struggling quarterback and the Ravens defense made him look like an All Pro as the signal caller threw for 340 yards with no picks.
In the loss to Cleveland Browns on their home field two weeks ago the Ravens allowed a career journeymen in Josh McCown to pass for 457 yards and to throw two touchdowns without a pick.
Derek Carr of the Oakland Raiders has been inconsistent, yet he was able to throw for 351 yards and complete three touchdowns on the Ravens defense. Worse yet the second year pro drove Oakland down the field in the closing stages for the game winning touchdown pass. Baltimore will play their fourth game on the west coast. They are 29th and fourth worst in the NFL against the pass by allowing 286 yards passing per game.
Play on Carson Palmer (Arizona QB)
Palmer has the benefit of playing at home inside a dome on Monday Night Football. The crowd will be very loud which will impact the ability for the Ravens defense to communicate. Couple with that is the fact that this is an AFC versus NFC game so these two teams don’t know each other very well especially the secondary as they look at the offensive formation from their opponent for the first time in four years.
These teams are too far from each other to meet in the preseason so that is another benefit to choose Palmer in a one day league. Carson Palmer is completing nearly 65% of his throws for 1737 yards with 14 touchdowns and 5 picks. He has thrown for 300 or greater yards in four of his six games. Last week at Pittsburgh, Palmer completed 29 of 45 throws for 421 yards with a touchdown and two picks.
Palmer did have a costly pick that denied the Cardinals from the go ahead touchdown late last week at Pittsburgh. Look for a fully focused Palmer in this one after that tough pick at Pittsburgh.
Play on Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona WR)
In red zone situations it will be Larry Fitzgerald getting targeted. He leads the club with six touchdown catches and 43 receptions for 583 yards. Fitzgerald has put up some good numbers at home by averaging over 100 receiving yards in the three games for well over 14 yards per catch against the Rams, 49ers and Saints.
Play on Justin Forsett (Baltimore RB)
Forsett was a slow starter this year. He ran for 1266 yards and nearly 5 ½ yards a carry last year. The Ravens featured running back is averaging in his past three games 22 carries and 111 yards with 5.1 yards per rush. In the passing game during that span Forsett is catching nearly four balls per game for 30 yards. Expect Justin Forsett to be called upon heavily to try and combat the crowd noise in Arizona on a Monday night.
Baltimore needs to try control time of possession and keep that dynamic Cardinals offense behind Carson Palmer on the sidelines for as long as possible.
