Another day and a few more rounds have flown by in the MFL 10s, the MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Football Mock Draft I was invited to earlier this week. This is a PPR league with three starting wide receivers, as well as a flex position, that includes RB, WR and TE.

From my own perspective, I knew that I wanted to wait on tight ends until later, and I planned on waiting on a quarterback. That latter idea didn’t quite work out, as Drew Brees fell to me in the second round and I couldn’t resist.

But getting a RB, QB, RB, in my first three picks made me think I was going to be too thin at wide receiver. But I followed up those first three picks with three straight wide receivers, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Well, I could be a little happier, like if Roddy White fell one more spot to me in the third round.

My roster after eight draft picks:

  • QB – Drew Brees, NO
  • RB – Marshawn Lynch, SEA
  • RB – Steven Jackson, STL
  • RB – Isaac Redman, PIT
  • WR – Marques Colson, NO
  • WR – Vincent Jackson, TB
  • WR – DeSean Jackson, PHI
  • WR – Santonio Holmes, NYJ

2012 Fantasy Football Mock Draft –MFL 10s

ROUND FIVE

5.01 Antonio Brown, WR, PIT – Chet, TheFakeFootball.com

5.02 Antonio Gates, TE, SD – Stein, MyFantasyLeague.com: If he stays healthy, he could make the Graham/Gronk owners feel silly.

5.03 Michael Turner, RB, ATL – De Lima, 4For4.com: PPR league helped his fall, but I still like Turner, despite the talk of limiting his carries.

5.04 Roy Helu, RB, WAS – Andrew, StarStreet.com

5.05 Steve Johnson, WR, BUF – Corey, SiriusXM

5.06 C.J. Spiller, RB, BUF – Brian, FantasyTaz.com

5.07 Eli Manning, QB, NYG – William, FFOasis.com

5.08 Steve Smith, WR, CAR – Christian, TheFFAddict.com: Was going to be my pick over Vincent Jackson, so I got screwed in two of the last three rounds.

5.09 Vincent Jackson, WR, TB – Gonos, RotoExperts.com: We know Josh Freeman can wing it, but now we need him to get back to making good decisions. This will be a running team that sets up the pass, but V-Jax could be a nice end-zone target with Kellen Winslow gone.

5.10 Brandon Lloyd, WR, NE – Bill, DynastySportsEmpire.com

5.11 Pierre Garcon, WR, WAS – Shane, DraftCountdown.com:

5.12 Michael Vick, QB, PHI – Jeff, ProFootballFocus.com

ROUND SIX

6.01 Aaron Hernandez, TE, NE – Jeff, ProFootballFocus.com

6.02 Torrey Smith, WR, BAL – Shane, DraftCountdown.com

6.03 Matt Ryan, QB, ATL – Bill, DynastySportsEmpire.com

6.04 DeSean Jackson, WR, PHI – Gonos, RotoExperts.com

6.08 Philip Rivers, QB, SD – Corey, SiriusXM

6.09 Beanie Wells, RB, ARI – Andrew, StarStreet.com

6.10 Jahvid Best, RB, DET – De Lima, 4For4.com: If he’s healthy, he’s a 20- to 25-Fantasy-ppg player in PPR leagues.

6.11 Eric Decker, WR, DEN – Stein, MyFantasyLeague.com

6.12 Jermichael Finley, TE, GB – Chet, TheFakeFootball.com

ROUND SEVEN

7.01 Reggie Wayne, WR, IND – Chet, TheFakeFootball.com

7.02 Shonn Greene, RB, NYJ – Stein, MyFantasyLeague.com

7.03 Brandon Pettigrew, TE, DET – De Lima, 4For4.com: I was really hoping he’d drop to me in this round. He’s always underappreciated it seems, just because he’s not one of the flashy names at the position.

7.04 Robert Griffin III, QB, WAS – Andrew, StarStreet.com

7.05 Jason Witten, TE, DAL – Corey, SiriusXM

7.06 BenJarvus Green-Ellis, RB, CIN – Brian, FantasyTaz.com

7.07 Fred Davis, TE, WAS – William, FFOasis.com

7.08 Mark Ingram, RB, NO – Christian, TheFFAddict.com

7.09 Isaac Redman, RB, PIT – Gonos, RotoExperts.com

7.10 Peyton Hillis, RB, KC – Bill, DynastySportsEmpire.com: If Jamaal Charles’ knee isn’t at 100 percent, Hillis could be a solid RB2 in Kansas City.

7.11 Denarius Moore, WR, OAK – Shane, DraftCountdown.com:

7.12 Robert Meachem, WR, SD – Jeff, ProFootballFocus.com

ROUND EIGHT

8.01 Willis McGahee, RB, DEN – Jeff, ProFootballFocus.com

8.02 Ben Tate, RB, HOU – Shane, DraftCountdown.com

8.03 Brent Celek, TE, PHI – Bill, DynastySportsEmpire.com

8.04 Santonio Holmes, WR, NYJ – Gonos, RotoExperts.com: I would have taken Tampa Bay’s Mike Williams here, if I hadn’t already had Vincent Jackson on my squad.

8.05 Michael Crabtree, WR, SF – Christian, TheFFAddict.com

8.06 Mike Williams, WR, TB – William, FFOasis.com

8.07 Titus Young, WR, DET – Brian, FantasyTaz.com

8.08 Michael Bush, RB, CHI – Corey, SiriusXM

8.09 Justin Blackmon, WR, JAC – Andrew, StarStreet.com

8.10 David Wilson, RB, NYG – De Lima, 4For4.com

8.11 Jay Cutler, QB, CHI – Stein, MyFantasyLeague.com

8.12 James Starks, RB, GB – Chet, TheFakeFootball.com
