4 Smarter Steps For Collecting Cards!
Mr. Collect shares some of his favorite tips for collecting cards to help sports card collectors get more bang for their collecting buck!
Happy Hobbyist Patrick Imhoff takes the wheel for this week’s newsletter, sharing all the smart decisions he’s planning to make with his sports card collection in 2025 based on what happened in 2024.
Specifically, Patrick shares his takes on collecting prospect cards and when to buy rookie cards. He also shares his opinions on “breaking,” as well as buying great single cards over hobby boxes.

Patrick thinks hockey is pucktastic! (My word, not his.) He shared a pretty awesome baseball/hockey card trivia question from the junk wax era that blew my mind!
Finally, Patrick also loves his Pittsburgh Penguins, and this week’s “Cards That Make Us Happy,” really makes Patrick happy because it’s Super Mario’s rookie card!
