It’s National Draft Weekend! You’re getting ready to pounce on your buddies like a recently fixed cat hiding behind an ottoman! So I’m delivering to you — my fully updated 2014 Fantasy Football Overall Player Rankings!
Speaking of National Draft Weekend — if you played SKYLLZONE instant snake drafts last season, you can go there Saturday and Sunday and find 2,000 extra points in your account! You can use those to enter two FREE Fan vs. Machine drafts. These drafts are a great way to practice draft, by the way, as you draft a lineup for the Week 1 NFL games.
Back to these 2014 Fantasy Football Overall Player rankings. I’ve made several updates after taking part in a ton of drafts over the past week or so. Some players moving up in my mind —
Robert Griffin III, despite his shaky play in the preseason. He’s going to be a solid Fantasy-points-per-game guy, and if you get him late, he’s a great risk/reward guy.
Arian Foster — I moved him up after some analysis on the surgery he had, and finding out several players have had that procedure done, and no one talks about that injury with them now. Guys like Steven Jackson and Rob Gronkowski were able to come back from microdiscectomies in the lumbar spine, so I have faith that Foster will too.
Michael Floyd moves up the rankings, as well, with Larry Fitzgerald slowly dropping out of the WR1s. It looks like Floyd could surpass Fitz as Carson Palmer’s prime target at some point this year. (Remember when he was a disappointing rookie!?!)
Among the tight ends, I moved up Zach Ertz a bit, with Chip Kelly’s offense ready to make him one of their prime targets, now that DeSean Jackson is out of town and Jeremy Maclin is trying to come back from a knee injury.
Enjoy the updated rankings — and Happy National Draft Weekend!
These are for both standard and PPR rankings.
Good luck in your draft and good luck this season! I’ll work to keep these 2014 Fantasy Football Overall Player Rankings updated throughout the next couple weeks!
