Bleacher Report’s Eric Mack and I join host Brett Tresky for another Fantasy Fatcast, where we discuss some trades in our leagues, some keeper decisions to make and the Week 9 matchups.
But we also bring in DavidGonos.com columnist Devon Jordan to talk about his most recent article, which details RBs strength of schedule for the second half of the season.
Which players are in for some tough matchups, and which guys should you target in trade as the second half gets a little easier?
Hint: Darren McFadden and his Oakland Raiders have the third-toughest schedule for running backs over the rest of the season. That can’t be good.
Emack got a little chippy in the early going as we talked about our softball keeper league and how he hates our rules, or our selective implementation of them, and how he’s been snake-bitten in a couple leagues.
We also talk about the future prospects of 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore (knee) to see where his keeper value lies for 2014. Our buddy Dwyne Philippen made a trade for him this past week and we discuss the merits of that move.
Finally, we look ahead at the Week 9 matchups, and notice just how many excellent wide receivers get to take a breather this week. Players like Larry Fitzgerald, Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Wes Welker, Calvin Johnson, Justin Blackmon, Cecil Shorts, Victor Cruz and Anquan Boldin will all be watching games from their couches this week – just like us! Granted, they’ll be snacking on gold Doritos, while we eat nacho flavored ones.
The remaining RBs strength of schedule is really what you’ll enjoy the most I think this week. Good luck in Week 9!
