Most of the sports card links on this page will take you to eBay. That means I will get a commission on the sales from this page. If you end up buying from these links, I personally thank you for supporting my website! Even if you don’t buy anything, thank you for reading my article! Enjoy!
Remember that chrome, quarterbacks, scarcity and upside usually drive the football card collecting market, but a few non-QBs — especially elite playmakers and unique hobby personalities — can crack the top tier fast!
Once this set releases on April 15, 2026, we will update the links to their rookie card sales on eBay!
One of the strongest hobby names in the class because he’s a quarterback for the Giants, which is exactly the kind of profile collectors chase. He also has real “market momentum” buzz, big-market attention, and a fun personality that should give him plenty of TV time even outside of the games, unlike some of the other quarterbacks in this class.
The Saints traded up to draft him – then sat him behind Spencer Rattler, which worries some collectors for sure. But he ended up with one of the best seasons for 2025 rookies, it just remains to be seen if rookie card speculation can pay off here. The NFC South has been in a rebuild-upheaval over the past few years, and Shough’s demand is likely more speculation-driven than star-power driven.
The Boise State product was supposed to be a generational talent – then he landed with the Raiders. Yoiks! He should still be one of the best non-QB rookies to collect because he’s is an elite talent and a marquee name in this class – with the ability to play all three downs. That’s gold for card collectors. Running backs are usually a tougher long-term bet than quarterbacks, but Jeanty has enough college production and hype to stay near the top.
It helps that the Raiders signed the best center available, will draft QB Fernando Mendoza first overall, and bring in other offensive help, to complement Jeanty’s abilities.
One of the safest rookies in the set because we know he’s the Titans quarterback for the next several years and the top overall pick profile gives him instant card-market gravity. In 2025 Topps Chrome, that usually makes him one of the first names collectors target. He didn’t have a magical debut season, but the Titans will get him help in 2026, including playmakers around him.
Back-to-Back Cams! A strong collector-favorite type because he has personality, a compelling backstory, and a Giants uniform, even though running backs generally don’t match QB hobby ceilings. He feels more like a cult-following and short-print/autograph chase than a pure investment play.
A solid modern hobby name, coming from Ohio State two years ago, but after an amazing start to the season, he fell off dramatically. He was a top-10 wide receiver at one point, then the entire Buccaneers offense unraveled, starting with QB Baker Mayfield. With a new offensive coordinator in town (Zac Robinson), Mayfield has some familiarity with him from his time with the Rams, and Egbuka should be the primary beneficiary, with Mike Evans now playing for the Niners.
One of the cleaner non-QB hobby targets because he’s been widely viewed as one of the best receivers in this 2025 draft class and the Panthers gave him a path to large volume. He has the kind of profile that can make him a strong second-tier chase behind the quarterbacks and Jeanty.
8. Travis Hunter, WR/DB, Jacksonville Jaguars
One of the most collectible players in the entire class because his two-way story gives him a unique hobby identity that few rookies have ever offered. He’s a Heisman winner, which gives him another collectability edge. This kind oddball narrative usually plays very well in Chrome, especially for autographs and low-numbered cards. He’s with Jacksonville, which hurts his memorabilia demand level, but that’s a good thing for us budget-minded collectors! If he was with the Bears or Steelers? Fuhgeddaboudit!
9. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, New England Patriots
A good rookie card to land thanks to his speed and all-around utility, but he sits just below the premium QB and elite WR tier in long-term demand. Henderson scord10 total touchdowns, and he set Patriots records with four TDs of 50+ yards. He’s a game-breaker, which means he lands on highlight reels all the time! He’s going to be exciting to watch – and card collectors will take notice.
10. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Cleveland Browns
One of the biggest name/value combinations in the class because the hobby always loves quarterback drama. Sanders brings huge recognition and conversation value, but he’s still a fifth-round pick with first-round media exposure. The Browns are forever dysfunctional, which doesn’t help his case, either. Even with team situation questions, he’s the kind of player collectors will chase in Chrome.
11. Quinn Ewers, QB, Miami Dolphins
The former Longhorns QB sits behind Malik Willis on the Dolphins depth chart, but let’s all not get crazy about the abilities of Willis just yet. If he falters or gets injured, they’ll hand the starting job to Ewers, who was one of the very few people in the world to hold off a Manning on a QB depth chart.
