What a wild Week 9, but sadly it is time to move on. I got screwed, putting up 104 Fantasy points, but still losing as I played against Ben Roethlisberger. He carried my opponents’ team, and hurt mine. So, I’m excited to move on to a new week and get ready for a wild waiver wire.
Arian Foster got injured Sunday, but it appears his injury is not too serious, and it helps that Houston is on a bye next week. However, there are 5 other teams on bye weeks as well, including the fantasy star loaded Patriots, Colts, Vikings, Chargers, and Redskins. It’s going to be tough to find replacements, but I’ll do my best to help.
Remember not to cut anyone of significance, as that could end up hurting you down the road. Only part ways with players that have been consistently struggling, rather than a productive player that had one bad week. Without further a do, let’s get started.

There are not many quarterbacks on the free agent mark available, but surprisingly Flacco is still available in many leagues. Flacco has put together a great year, producing over 18 fantasy points in 3 out of his last 4 games. Flacco should be a great bye-week fill in for guys like Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, and Phillip Rivers, who are on a bye-week next week. Flacco gets a great matchup against the Titans this week, and should be fairly productive. If Flacco is available, and you need a quarterback this week, Flacco is worth adding.

There are a lot of good running backs on byes this week, which makes the options thin. Dixon will get a lot of carries for the Bills with Fred Jackson out, and it’s hard to find running backs that will get a lot of touches when your stars are on bye-weeks. Dixon plays the Chiefs at home this week, so the matchup isn’t too favorable; but he has a chance to score given he receives the goal-line carries. If you’re in need of a running back, Dixon is a good option off of waivers.

I told people that last week wasn’t the time to add Sims, and I was right; it wasn’t. However, now is the time. Sims should be active next week for the first time this season, and should get some opportunities. Doug Martin may be done in Tampa, and he’s dealing with an ankle injury. So, Sims should see carries behind Bobby Rainey. However, Sims could be used at the goal line and in passing situations, which is good news against a weak Falcons’ run defense. Sims makes for a high upside play next week, and is worth grabbing off the waiver wire.

Ben Tate continues to struggle for the Browns, as West out-carried Tate on Sunday. West carried the ball 15 times for 48 yards, and caught a receiving touchdown in the process. Reports came out that West could continue to get a bigger load for the Browns, which means more fantasy production. He has a plus matchup against the Bengals on Thursday night, and if you are in bye-week woes, West could be a solid start, given that he gets the carries. It’s hard to predict if he’ll get the carries, but if he does, West makes for a good start and add off of the waiver wire.

Stills was a sleeper of mine before the season, and is finally starting to come into his own. Stills caught 5 of his 8 targets from Drew Brees on Thursday night for 72 yards. As you watch his film, Stills is beginning to be a big target for Brees, and he is counting on him down the stretch. As long as the Saints continue throwing the ball, Stills should be productive, and also has the threat of big play ability. If you’re in need of a receiver, I’d add Stills off of waivers.

Bryant has been a pleasant surprise over the last couple of weeks, catching at least a touchdown in each of his last three games, and catching 2 TDs in each of his last two games. Big Ben continues to look Bryant’s way a lot in the red-zone, which gives Bryant big touchdown possibility. I’d look to add Bryant off of waivers, and he is a solid start going forward.
