It’s a crucial time in fantasy football, and I can only hope that you are one of the few that have survived to this point in the season. It’s either the playoffs or the last week of the regular season, and seasons are on the line.
At this point, your roster is pretty much set, and there are not many waiver wire targets, as most of your rosters are set at this point. However, there are some breakout stars and injuries that cause you to turn toward the free agent pool.
Luckily, there are no more bye-weeks, so you don’t have to worry about that. Remember not to cut anyone of too significance, because that could end up hurting you in the future. Only cut players that have struggled ongoing, instead of players who have just struggled for a week.

Manziel entered the game for Brian Hoyer on Sunday, and played very well in his opportunity. He led the Browns down the field for the score on his first drive, and racked up 54 passing yards, 10 rushing yards and a rushing TD on the drive. Browns coach Mike Pettine wouldn’t say whether Manziel or Hoyer would start next week, but if it’s Manziel, he has a favorable matchup against the Colts. Plus, Manziel should be a viable option in fantasy given the weapons he has, plus his rushing yardage. If you are in need of a QB, and have a roster spot, I’d pick up Manziel.

Herron once again ran better than Trent Richardson on Sunday, as Herron for 88 yards and a TD against the Redskins. Herron has replaced Ahmad Bradshaw in the Colts’ offense, and we all know what a big role Bradshaw played for Indy before he got hurt. Herron is also a factor in the passing game, and has favorable matchups against Cleveland, Houston, and Dallas upcoming.

Martin proved he is still the primary back in Tampa, as he saw 18 carries on Sunday opposed to Charles Sims and Bobby Rainey, who combined saw just 6. Martin, for once, took advantage of his carries, as he ran for 58 yards and a TD. The running back position has been horrid in fantasy this season, so if Martin is out there, I would grab him.

Adams became a reliable target for Aaron Rodgers on nation TV Sunday, when Adams caught 6 of his 11 targets for 121 yards. The Patriots focused in on Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb, which opened things up for Adams. Rodgers could keep looking Adams way more and more down the stretch, if teams copy Bill Belichick’s strategy. If you’re in need of a flex, or some depth, Adams could do the job.

It’s obvious that whenever Colt McCoy is starting for the Redskins, Reed is going to produce. Reed caught 9 balls for 123 yards on Sunday, with McCoy at QB. In the two games that McCoy has started Reed has been targeted 18 times and caught 16 passes. That is good news, as McCoy looks to be the Redskin QB for the rest of the season. Reed should be a continuing force in the Washington offense, and picked up in all leagues; unless you have Gronk.
QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick (HOU, 12% owned), Zach Mettenberger (TEN, 24%)
RB: Stepfan Taylor (ARI, 7%), C.J. Spiller (BUF, 27%)
WR: Greg Jennings (MIN, 35%), Robert Woods (BUF, 16%), Nate Washington (TEN, 6%)
TE: Richard Rodgers (GB, 5%), Levine Toilolo (ATL, 1%)
