Good take on the NFL Draft coverage between ESPN and NFL Network. Personally, I’m a big fan of Rich Eisen and Michael Irvin, so they trump Chris Berman and Jon Gruden.
My biggest problem with the coverage last night seemed to be with whoever directed the production on ESPN’s side. The crawl was faster, especially with trades, and the talking heads were always quite a bit behind. In the past, they would stop what they were saying, break the trade news, discuss, and then pick up what they were talking about.
The Bucs trade happened and the crawl showed it, as did the graphic on the wall behind the commissioner, but the commentators still didn’t tell us what’s what. For all Bucs fans knew, we traded for Herschel Walker.
