Week 4 WR Rankings — Sponsored by SKYLLZONE

With six NFL teams on byes this week, the Week 4 WR rankings look much more shallow than in the first three weeks of the season. But in reality, this might be one of the deepest 26-team set of wide receiver rankings in Fantasy Football history.

Passing is down a little bit in the NFL, at least compared to recent seasons, but the back end of wide receivers is still pretty darn good. We’re talking about decent players in the 30s and early 40s, like Cecil Shorts, Terrance Williams, and Jordan Matthews. I’d say even last year we wouldn’t have seen WR depth this great.

So here are some Fantasy Football news bits to take in while you’re looking at the matchups and the Week 4 WR rankings.

Antonio Brown gets to face a Buccaneers club that got humiliated last week in Atlanta. Granted, the Bucs have had 10 days to prepare, but this should be another ugly game, with plenty of points for Brown.

Notice that all four of the main wide receivers in the Bears-Packers matchup are ranked inside the top 10 for this week. This should be a big day for these four in what will likely turn into a shootout.

The Chargers’ Keenan Allen is definitely suffering from the sophomore jinx after a record-breaking rookie season. Granted, the first two games on the docket were against the Cardinals’ Patrick Peterson and the Seahawks’ Richard Sherman. So we can cut him some slack there. But what we can’t excuse is the two catches for 17 yards against the Bills in Week 3 – on just two targets! Things will get back on track in Week 4, as the Jaguars have to travel across the country to play in San Diego.

A handful of veteran wide receivers will now have first-year starting quarterbacks throwing to them, including Shorts, Greg Jennings and Cordarrelle Patterson. And then there is even a second-year starting quarterback moving into the front of the rotation in Tampa Bay, so Vincent Jackson will have Mike Glennon throwing to him now.

Without question, the wide receiver group, along with quarterbacks and tight ends, are among the deepest positions this week.
