Bye weeks are upon us like a shutdown cornerback on a cool autumn afternoon. (I paint a pretty picture, no?) With four teams off with a bye, the Week 5 Fantasy RB Rankings look thinner than ever. On your bench go running backs like Doug Martin, DeMarco Murray, Mikel LeShoure and Darren McFadden. (OK, sure, you were probably mad at most of them for Week 4 anyway.
Yesterday, I posted the Week 5 Fantasy Football Rankings for the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends. Today, I’m working on the Week 5 Fantasy RB Rankings, as well as the kickers and defense/special teams.
Also this week, I sat down with Tim Stafford and Jarret Behar of DynastyLeagueFootball.com for a really fun podcast. You can listen to it at Blog Talk Radio, or you can listen to it here. We discuss several players of interest, from their dynasty league perspective and I chip in with my yearly league viewpoint. It’s a hoot! At one point, I even say, [spoiler alert] “Kick in the nuts!”
The following rankings are for non-PPR leagues, with four points for passing TDs. A lot of people wonder, why do we do rankings for non-PPR, when any serious Fantasy Football owner is playing in a PPR league? The answer is — only 28 percent of leagues on CBSSports.com use “points per reception” as a scoring unit.
