Did you survive Bye-mageddon, as Bob Harris of FootballDiehards.com called it? Six teams had early byes in Week 4, and teams had to scramble to fill their lineups. Our Week 5 QB rankings brings back Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson into the fold.
But then again, with two teams on byes this week, so you’ll be without Ryan Tannehill, Derek Carr and Matt McGloin.

Well, I guess it’s not quite the emergency situation it might have been last week, when teams had to actually consider picking up a rookie quarterback that plays for Jacksonville. Then again, those that rolled the dice on the Vikings’ rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater got quality points out of him – just like we suggested last week!
Entering this week, it seems as if the passing games are starting to loosen up a little bit more, and we’re starting to see more 300-yard passing games than we head earlier on.
Some stars have stood out at the quarter-way point, with Andrew Luck posting about 50-percent more Fantasy points than the second-best quarterback (Matt Ryan).
Philip Rivers and Jay Cutler are proving to be great late-round byes in most Fantasy drafts. We’ll see if Cutler can stay healthy and if Rivers can overcome injuries to his running backs.
We’re also looking at several disappointments at the position, headlined by Tom Effing Brady, who has just one touchdown pass in each game so far. Nick Foles and Colin Kaepernick have been good, but inconsistent, and some quarterbacks are already being replaced (or are in danger of it), as E.J. Manuel and Geno Smith look like weak sophomore QBs.
