Week 7 Sleepers to Consider

Last week’s pick were not quite as good as some of my prior picks, but I took a few chances on some very iffy players. Hopefully, my Week 7 sleepers will do even better.

Tampa Bay’s Brian Leonard didn’t get a carry or a reception or a sniff at running back. I guess they will just run the tires off of Doug Martin.

Both Mike Tolbert and Greg Little managed to reach paydirt for their teams. Just a few more carries or receptions and these two could have had big games. However, I wouldn’t stick with either one of them unless you are really screwed at RB or WR.

The entire Fantasy world was expecting a big game from TE Garrett Graham in Houston. Two catches and 25 yards was a little disappointing, but he did better than my starter, Greg Olsen.

I find it interesting that Fantasy experts were crowing about how deep the TE crop was this year. Not so much. I’m getting killed at that position, but I digress.

Time for this week’s sleepers!

Week 7 Sleepers

Nick Foles, QB, Philadelphia

Foles looked good last week against a decent Tampa Bay defense. Imagine what he can do to a Dallas defense without pass rusher DeMarcus Ware.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he finishes the year at QB for the Eagles. Go get this guy if he is available. But be prepared to drop him quickly if Chip Kelly decides to go with both Michael Vick and Foles, which could be coming.

Joseph Randle RB, Cowboys

DeMarco Murray is out, and it looks like Randle will be in. The Cowboys can’t throw it every down against the Eagles, can they?

Even if they do, Randle should get a few catches out of the backfield, if you’re looking for a running back in a PPR league.

Chris Ogbonnaya RB, Browns

Ogbonnaya is becoming the Danny Woodhead of the Browns. He’s starting to get a lot of catches and can rack up points in PPR leagues.

His biggest downfall is the guy pulling the trigger for the Browns. If Brandon Weeden doesn’t try any over-the-back flip passes, Ogbonnaya could have a good week.

WR Cole Beasley, Cowboys

If the Eagles try to shut down Dez Bryant, Beasley could be the beneficiary. Miles Austin isn’t looking like himself quite yet, and he may never again.

Tony Romo has been looking Beasley’s way a lot lately and Dallas may not run the ball much this week with Murray on the sideline. Don’t be surprised if Beasley starts being compared to Wes Welker. Get him now before he starts putting up those kind of numbers.

WR Jarrett Boykin, Packers

The Packers are dropping like flies at the WR position. Jordy Nelson and Jarrett Boykin are the last of the Mohicans, and it’s time for Boykin to step up.

If the Browns put Joe Haden on Nelson, look for Boykin to have a big day against Buster Skrine.

TE Charles Clay, Dolphins

Clay is returning to the lineup for Miami and Ryan Tannehill needs an additional weapon to keep the Dolphins’ season alive. If the Bills try to take away the deep threat of Mike Wallace, Clay will be open on the underneath routes. Might even sniff the end zone his first game back.
