Every summer, during the NFL Preseason, we see players that some of us have never even heard of dominate the league. This August has been no different, with guys like Corey Grant, Austin Carr and Kasen Williams among other Fantasy Football question marks.
But the conductor of the Fantasy Football hype train this summer is Cooper Kupp.
With the 69th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select : Cooper Kupp, WR Eastern Washington. And with that, a legend was born.
Kupp’s ADP has risen from the 14th round inside the 10th round after a nice preseason. He now owns a similar ADP to veteran WRs like Jordan Matthews, Rishard Matthews, Kenny Britt and Mike Wallace. Fellow rookie WRs Corey Davis and Zay Jones are being selected right around the same spot.

With 8 catches and 105 yards, Kupp has impressed, but my favorite stat is the 87.5% 1st down rate! If he can become a security blanket for Jared Goff, he could easily win the WR3 spot. He is Dynasty Football Factory’s #1 rookie sleeper WR .
The Rams currently have a deep group of WRs, adding Sammy Watkins to Robert Woods and Tavon Austin and are not exactly known to light up the scoreboard. However, Goff is entering his second season and his new Head Coach, Sean McCoy, “created” Kirk Cousins.
Pro Football Focus was very impressed with Goff after a week 2 preseason game, which is always a good sign. They also have Kupp ranked as the most productive WR in the NFL during the preseason!

It is important to keep expectations low for a rookie WR, on what is assumed to be a bad Rams offense. However, for those of you in deeper leagues, Kupp is/was the PERFECT late round flier that could produce for you as soon as his number is called.
